Analytics You Should Track

Ask yourself this one question: Is your website working? 🤷‍♀️

How can you tell exactly?

Simple! In your analytics.

Website analytics is the data generated by your website. You can learn a lot about your audience/visitors/people using your website from your analytics. Read more here to understand the basics.

You need to start tracking your website analytics WEEKLY if not monthly using either of my two favorite analytics tools: Google Analytics and Wix's Analytics & Reports tool in your dashboard.

Google Analytics is free for anyone with a website to use. Wix analytics is built into websites that use Wix as their website builder and pull directly from Google, but is reformatted to fit into the Wix dashboard so it’s easier to understand (no offense Google, but your analytics can be overwhelming).

The ESSENTIAL metrics that you NEED to track to ensure that your website is working are:

✨ Site Sessions

Shows what parts of your website people are interacting with most.

✨ Website Visitors

Llearn about your audience like where they are geographically located, the browser type they are using, and whether or not they are using their mobile device or desktop.

✨ Unique + Returning Visitors

Tell if new or the same visitors are coming to your website.

✨ Average Session Duration

The amount of time on average someone is spending.

There are lots more analytics to track. I highly recommend that you check out the tools to analyze the options and determine which metrics you should be tracking to ensure that you're staying on path to reaching your business goals. 📈
